Mayzie was the most compassionate nurse during our stay here at Encompass. She routinely encouraged my father to speak and participate in his care, even on difficult days. Mayzie would even come in to say hello on days she did not have him as a patient. When Mayzie entered the room, my father’s eyes would literally light up. Now, this may seem trivial to some, but when someone suddenly cannot speak or truly understand all that is being said, the eyes are the window to the soul. Mayzie’s natural love and compassion made my father’s time at Encompass far more enjoyable. Mayzie is a natural caregiver with a warm heart.
