Maureen proved to be a guardian for the patient's wife during this tragedy. In the past four years, his wife had not driven due to health issues, and she was unable to return home. Maureen assisted her in retrieving belongings from the ER parking lot, ensuring her safe transportation to a local hotel for the night, and helped her settle in. She helped contact the wife's family, who reside in distant states, to provide support and guidance in making difficult decisions.

Maureen stood by her side, undoubtedly one of her most challenging days. While some might claim it was simply part of the job, Maureen's actions went beyond expectations, providing an exceptional level of kindness and compassion. This endearing, caring nature is not merely a facet of her profession but rather an inherent part of who she is.
