Matthew has displayed extreme compassion and empathetic care for patients and their families.  At a critical time, Matthew took the time to sit with a patient who was actively dying.  The patient at the time was unresponsive, alone and on maximal life support.  Matthew pulled up a chair and just held the patient's hand for a period of time so the patient would not be alone at the end of their life.
Matthew served as an advocate to both the patient and their family by providing peace and support during this crucial time in the patient's journey.
