Matt received three nominations in one month. One of them stated:

Matt was my mom's nurse. He was beyond amazing in her care. He changed her gown in a way that allowed her to keep her dignity. He thought of her! He is an amazing nurse and should be recognized for his dedication to making others feel seen and heard. He was respectful toward my mom.

 Another stated that "he tries to help each person feel valued, noticed, and listened to." Another patient stated that "Matt was very knowledgeable about my case and questions I had, I felt he went above and beyond the regular job of a nurse. He is a great asset to nursing and this facility."
