Matt was an absolute joy to have as a nurse. We had such a great rapport that I immediately felt comfortable with him, and he kind of felt like a protective older brother. His sense of humor and friendly teasing meshed well with my personality. He showed interest in my case, listened to my concerns, and understood my needs. He went out of his way to ensure that my parents were able to visit for as long and early as possible, as he knew how much I needed my support system.

I am grateful that he was my nurse the morning of my surgery because he soothed me when I became emotional, and his warm presence made a world of difference during a time I felt scared and unsure. He is a wealth of knowledge, and I felt safe and confident being in his care. He seemed to always be training a student nurse, and his leadership skills were evident while showing them the ropes. He is a phenomenal nurse who displays the utmost compassion and empathy for his patients, so that anyone in his care is blessed and will always be in good hands. I cannot thank him enough for bringing a smile to my face while I was in the hospital. He is one of the loveliest human beings I have ever met, and I am happy to have crossed paths with him.
