Matt was the best of the best for several months with his display of empathetic advocacy and assurance with emotional challenges during our journey through such a very, very, very, very hard stem cell/bone marrow transplant experience.
Matt was all about it. He was professional, on top of his game with medications, asking about comfort, having patience, engaging with family, lightening things up with a little laughter, and explaining what medication was being used and why. Matt greeted family members upon arrival in passing in the hallways; his bedside manners were exceptional, and he definitely made everyone feel a sense of calm in a stressful environment.
At a highly vulnerable moment, Matt's emotional intelligence replaced uncertainty with trust. Kudos to Matt!
