My husband went to the ER with hypoxia and a high heart rate. He was admitted to critical care after determining he had a pulmonary embolism and a couple of DVTs. Matt was his first critical care nurse.

We are from Texas, and my husband, a pilot, was in Cleveland after finishing a flight when the event occurred. He had no one to be with him during this very scary time until I could fly in. Matt took the time to talk to him and encourage him. After I made it in, he went out of his way to answer all the questions and calm our nerves.

He was with us on the day that we were discharged, and we were asked to stay in town a couple of extra days. He gave us ideas on where to go that would provide some entertainment and exercise. He again took the time to answer all of our questions. If he knew he did not have the answer, he sought out the right person to answer. He was quick and efficient.

Everyone we met a Southwest General was amazing, and we are so thankful for how they took care of my husband; however, Matt went above and beyond.
