When I entered the admitting room, I received a phone call from the nurse within 10 minutes of arriving. When I told her I was here, and we ended the phone call, she called the admitting lady and was concerned why I wasn't already upstairs in pre-op. I thought that was very caring and considerate, as well as her job to check in to see her patient’s eta and make sure everything is running smoothly. While waiting to meet my doctors, we conversed. I found her very serious, yet a sense of humor, and she seemed very authentic. I like how attentive she was and how concerned. When my sister left the room to charge her phone, she wondered where she had gone as she didn't see her slip away. I stayed where she was, and then she replied, "She could charge her phone up here." I thought it was nice that she was concerned about why my family member would be away from me while awaiting surgery. I also observed that she was on top of her hand. I can tell she had a lot of experience. I overheard her checking in with more patients via phone, and she was on top of everything. It's good to see nurses working and doing their job and not talking about personal things when patients are around. She's very professional with a funny twist. Thank you, Providence, for a peaceful and joyful day during my time in need.
