Mary took excellent care of the baby and the mother’s emotional needs until the very end.
Mary is a compassionate and competent hospice nurse. She is always willing to help the team. She always puts her patients first. Last summer, I was asked if we could take a Pediatric Patient. We don’t usually handle pediatric hospice cases, but after discussing the baby’s needs with Mary, she agreed to admit and manage the patient. It was a challenging case. Mary took excellent care of the baby and the mother’s emotional needs until the very end: a true professional and a dedicated nurse who always goes above and beyond.

Our VNA doctor also wanted to extend her praise and thankfulness to Mary, who cared for a pediatric patient; she did an amazing job.

A patient called and stated, "My father’s wishes were met. He wanted to die at home. He was able to do this with the help of hospice. The hospice nurse was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Also explained what to expect, which was very helpful. Thank you for your service."

Another expressed that Mary was professional, empathetic, caring, and delightful. "A blessing to our family, genuinely cared about my wife."
