Mary Kay Pallotta's quick thinking and action saved my life. I went into the hospital with immobility due to a back issue, and upon getting ready to be released, I had severe trouble breathing. Her swift decisions (she knew exactly what my issues were) got me to the ICU to get the best help I needed. Upon her summary of my condition, she let me know that "Your husband is on the way here. You will have about ten people in this room momentarily for us to get you all you need. You don't have to worry...we have you in very good hands". And indeed...I was not once worried, and I was in good hands. The day I was leaving she came to my room to say "goodbye". My diagnosis: multiple pulmonary emboli, blood thinners - fast internal bleeding off thinners. Result: esophageal ulcers later: DVT rt leg. Mary Kay was thorough, precise, kind, professional, and calming. I am grateful.
