My daughter was born extremely premature at 27 weeks and very small, and she spent us days in the NICU. From the very beginning to the very end of our journey, Mary Ann was by our side, offering unwavering support. She always took the time to listen and explain, no matter what questions we had, and never made us feel rushed or unheard.

Mary Ann truly cared about our daughter during times of distress; she often shed a tear with us, offering not only her clinical expertise but also a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. Alongside this emotional support, she consistently showed us kindness, compassion, and empathy when we needed it most.

She knew our daughter so well and understood her personality, her little quirks, and her individual needs. Mary Ann demonstrated a high level of expertise, skill, and professionalism in the care she provided, and we always felt confident knowing our daughter was in her hands.
Even on days when she was not assigned as our daughter’s nurse, Mary Ann made a point of checking in on her every day to see how she was doing, which meant more to us than words can express. Over time, Mary Ann became like family to us. She made our long and difficult NICU journey much more bearable and even enjoyable at times.

We are forever grateful for the impact she had on us during such a vulnerable period in our lives, and she truly deserves a DAISY Award.
