Marueen Cascone, RN

I want to recognize Maureen Cascone for her extraordinary kindness and compassion as a VA nurse. I am kind of a regular on 3C, as I have some severe mental health issues. For a time, I was so paranoid and so psychotic, and I had no way to get to the VA. It was the middle of the night. I had not slept in days, but I walked all the way from Greenacres to the WPB VA. When I am like that, I am suspicious of everyone, and when people are extraordinarily kind, I become extraordinarily suspicious of them. But not so with Maureen. She was able to break through all of the paranoia and delusions. I trusted Maureen. She made me feel safe. She was not only concerned about my vitals. She administered the most important medication of all - Love. She made me feel like family, and I see her with her other patients. I believe she loves all her patients.
