From coordinating a Valentine’s Day care package to sharing tears with the patient during some of the roughest parts of their stay, she took pride in providing care that truly showed she cared like family. She always made sure to check on the patient at every opportunity to ensure that his needs were being met. She effectively communicated with other team members on the unit to guarantee that the patient's care was personalized and reflected the distinctiveness she had ascertained over the countless times she had cared for him. She frequently worked with other shifts to help in any way possible, including assisting patients out of bed and into a chair every morning when clinically able.

 

While this patient serves as a recent and prominent example of her exemplary care, it is quite difficult to express the significant impact she has on her patients and coworkers each and every day. She has always been known for being a go-getter, especially when it comes to ensuring that her patients feel like their best selves. She is extremely passionate about providing the highest quality care and has never backed down from a challenge. She excels at coordinating care across multiple specialties to ensure the best outcomes for our highest-acuity patients.

 

Her contributions to not only MSTICU but the facility as a whole are unparalleled. I can say with certainty that our unit has become a better place as a result of her dedication since she joined MSTICU. Although her contributions may tend to go under the radar because she seeks zero recognition for the superb care that she provides, I know that all of us on MSTICU are extremely appreciative of everything she does. I am privileged to work alongside an individual who is so devoted to being the best nurse she can possibly be.
