Markie was a breath of fresh air coming over to Mother Baby. She was not only extremely kind and informative, but she really advocated for the needs of my baby. Not only was she extremely caring to my baby, but she checked on me mentally throughout the night when my baby was in the NICU. I genuinely felt I could trust closing my eyes knowing my baby was in her care. Markie stayed with me; she comforted me in so many ways. Hours later, when my baby was supposed to be coming back to us, she had another episode, which granted her a full stay in the NICU. Once again, Markie was there to help support me. Then ten days later I had complications with my incision and was readmitted. Once again, I got Markie. I was going to need either someone at home to learn to pack my incision or home health would be coming. Markie went out of her way to step-by-step instruct my boyfriend on how to pack a wound and showed him each time it was time for a change until he was comfortable enough to do it himself. She prevented me from having a stranger come to my house once daily to change my wound. Markie was just all around one of my biggest supporters in the hospital both times, and she deserves the world.
