Mark was very down to earth and did not treat my husband or the rest of his family as just a number. He made us all very comfortable and took all the time needed to explain what was going on with my husband.
When my husband had his surgery, Mark was there to take care of him afterward. I believe it was divine intervention because Mark saved my husband's life. As I, my daughter, and his parents watched my husband go into shock, Mark took care of my husband like it was second nature. Mark never let it show that my husband was doing poorly. My husband was also losing his hair due to the chemo and Mark did everything possible so we could shave my husband's hair off for the first time.
A few days after the surgery, Mark made every accommodation possible so we could play card games with my husband as he recovered. The greatest thing beyond everything I have mentioned is that Mark brought joy and laughter to us during one of the hardest periods of our lives. We will forever be thankful for such a wonderful nurse. Mark is an amazing human being with an absolute heart of gold.
