I would like to nominate Mark W., RN, for the DAISY Award for the exceptional care he provided to me in PACU after my surgery. Coming out of anesthesia can be disorienting, but Mark was right there by my side, offering calm, reassurance, and genuine compassion. He cared for me in such a way that made me feel like I was his only patient in the room. His attentiveness, kindness, and professionalism truly stood out during a vulnerable moment in my recovery. What touched me even more was that he took the time to come see me again before I was discharged. That extra act of care meant so much and reminded me how powerful compassionate nursing can be. Mark embodies the very heart of nursing—skill, presence, and kindness. Thank you, Mark, for making such a difference in my healing experience. You truly deserve the DAISY Award.
