Unfortunately, my sister was in the Emergency Room needing to go through detoxification from alcohol, and there was a miscommunication regarding her aftercare and discharge planning that left me, her loved one, feeling unsafe and extremely scared for both of us.

Mark was professional, courteous, and most importantly, he listened and was never dismissive. He carefully noted the specifics I shared and willingly followed up to get to the bottom of the situation. He went above and beyond, exercising due diligence and consulting with his colleagues. As a result of his intervention, the care plan was altered for the better.

Mark was confident, direct, and never made false promises, yet he was always willing to intercede. He graciously and professionally acknowledged the miscommunication, even though none of it was his fault. Mark treated my sister and me with dignity and respect, offering both comfort and encouragement.

He even shared a personal anecdote that revealed his human side and was truly inspirational. Mark is a phenomenal nurse with an amazing bedside manner, and he is a credit to the nursing profession.
