Her ability to set priorities, organize care, and anticipate needs creates a sense of stability and trust for the entire team.
It is with great pride and admiration that I nominate her for the DAISY Award. She began her nursing journey with us as a new graduate RN in June 2024, following several years of experience as an LPN in various settings. Since joining our team, she has grown rapidly in her role, and her impact is felt by patients, families, and colleagues every day.

From the very beginning, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. She approaches every patient interaction with empathy and professionalism, ensuring that each individual feels heard, respected, and cared for. She’s calm and reassuring presence during urgent and high-pressure situations is truly remarkable—she never loses focus and always prioritizes what matters most: the well-being of her patients.

Early in her role, I witnessed her response to code situations. She was just out of orientation, yet she managed provider communication, organized the equipment needed for the response, and supported the patient's transfer to critical care—all without direction. Her initiative and strong assessment skills ensured a safe outcome for this patient. This moment exemplifies her ability to rise to the occasion and lead with confidence, even in the most challenging circumstances.

As a charge nurse, she confidently leads the care of 14 patients while supporting her peers with grace and efficiency. Her ability to set priorities, organize care, and anticipate needs creates a sense of stability and trust for the entire team. She communicates seamlessly with providers, peers, and leadership, fostering collaboration and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

What makes her truly exceptional is her passion for learning and growth. She actively seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills, and she generously shares what she learns to elevate those around her. Patients, peers, and leaders consistently recognize her for her kindness, professionalism, and the exceptional care she delivers.

She embodies everything the DAISY Award represents—clinical excellence, compassion, and leadership. She is not only a highly skilled nurse but also a source of inspiration and support for her colleagues. We are fortunate to have her on our team, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor.
