Marissa is the kindest and compassionate nurse ever. She has a caring attitude and is always willing to help with anything. Nothing is too small. She treated me as her best friend rather than her patient. Her explanations were simple and easy to understand. When I would be tense and uptight, Marissa would walk in the room with a big smile and happy attitude all the time; it was a calming effect. Just being around her was such a warm feeling, and that is so important when you are in severe pain & hurting from surgery. I really appreciate the care she gave me and how she coordinated all the doctors & medicines to get me the best care ever. I certainly will miss seeing Marissa & wish her the best in her nursing career. Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is a top-notch facility. However, the care team is even better! I would like to nominate Marissa for the DAISY Award for the following reasons:
1- Her extraordinary care for her patients.
2- Her knowledge of her job and having the energy to execute her tasks without hesitation.
