Marisely Toro-Troche, BSN, CRRN
Sely is a kind and compassionate nurse to not only her patients but also her teammates, and she is an excellent leader as our nurse supervisor.
She goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done and is always willing to take on multiple roles, such as floor nurse, CNA, and admissions nurse, to ensure each patient is cared for and to lighten the load on her teammates. She is very thoughtful and has also been known to bring in treats for her teammates, such as smoothies, to help make us feel cared for and to put a smile on our faces.
She is meticulous in detail and constantly monitors each patient's situation in the hospital to ensure their safety and care. Even in the midst of chaos, she maintains a sense of calm and peace, which reassures patients and helps the team continue their work in a calm, orderly manner.
I always know that whenever I work with Sely, it will be a great shift, no matter what is going on. I always feel confident that I will be well supported as her teammate, and each and every patient is being looked out for and cared for.
I have great respect for Sely as a nurse, a leader, and a person, and I am honored to work alongside her. Sely is a true DAISY!
