Marianne always answers critical alarms on monitors swiftly and, on numerous occasions, has promptly intervened to save many patients' lives. On this particular day, Marianne answered the alarm of one of her co-worker's critically ill patients and quickly recognized that the patient was without a heart rhythm. She immediately intervened by bringing a Zoll Monitor into the room and began externally packing the patient. The physician was notified, and the patient was promptly taken to the Cath Lab for a temporary pacemaker. Once again, Marianne's prompt answering of alarms and intervention saved another patient's life!
