Academically, Maria demonstrates exceptional performance in didactic nursing courses, consistently excelling in both theoretical knowledge and critical thinking. Her dedication to mastering complex nursing concepts is evident not only in her academic success but also in her ability to translate that knowledge into exceptional patient care. Her intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence inspire her peers and set a standard for academic achievement within the program. I'm grateful to have gotten to work with her for her Honors Capstone project and see her commitment to the nursing profession with the focus of nurse resiliency. Beyond the classroom, Maria serves as a leader in the nursing skills lab, where she supports fellow students in developing essential clinical skills. Her patience, guidance, and encouragement create a positive learning environment, helping others build confidence and proficiency- I often tell her she's an "old soul" and mature beyond her years. Through her leadership, she fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence, ensuring that students are well-prepared for patient care. In addition to her academic and clinical contributions, Maria is actively involved in university initiatives that promote the values of caring, professionalism, respect, integrity, and excellence.
