Maria Alarcon has been working within ICU for 2 years. She had shown strength, knowledge, and independence. Not only once but many times it was witnessed how Maria remained calm under pressure, managing complicated cases and difficult patients and families. She maintained good communication with coworkers, residents, PMD. She always finds time to help others. Never complains but gives suggestions. She comes to work ready and always with a smile. She is very respectful and professional no matter what situation she is in. Maria is a risk taker (not reckless). She took on to be in charge one day in absence of the senior staff. She was assertive and professional. She asked questions and was willing to be directed to learn the ropes of being in charge on the spot. She raises questions when in doubt.
