Margaret Pinto, RN, BSN, MA
Margaret Pinto has over 30 years of nursing experience. She has been with Cornell Scott for over 10 years.
What makes her truly exceptional is her willingness to teach and share her knowledge with others. She takes the time to help staff learn, answer questions, and build confidence. She never makes anyone feel uncomfortable asking for help. Instead, she encourages others and wants everyone around her to succeed.
Margaret leads by example—not only through her nursing skills, but through her patience, kindness, and genuine care for others. She makes a difference in the lives of her patients, her coworkers, and the entire team. She demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, consistently ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellence in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
On a personal note, she truly has healing hands. Some of you can attest to this: when you reach a certain age, you go to bed feeling fine, and when you wake up, you have somehow been injured in your sleep. When I was dealing with a sore neck, she put her massage therapy skills to work and provided remarkable relief. Her compassionate touch, combined with her clinical expertise, made all the difference. She has the hands of an angel and a genuine gift for helping others feel better.
She truly embodies what the DAISY Award represents. She consistently goes above and beyond, and she does it with a caring heart and a generous spirit.
