Every time I have worked with Mallory at the bedside, it is evident she is in healthcare for all of the right reasons! She is passionate and empathetic, and her patients are so lucky to have her!

On a specific day, we were working together with a patient and their family member who were just having a rough morning. It was a busy morning in general, and this particular patient just wasn’t having the best morning. The patient needed to be transported out, and there were some communication lapses that just made the situation seem chaotic. Mallory did a great job making sure the patient and her family knew that we were focused on this patient’s needs and well-being. The family member had planned to follow the ambulance in a private vehicle, and this particular day, there just happened to be a bit of a snowstorm and icy roads. The patient’s mother was wearing slip-on sandals and hadn’t planned on being out in the weather. Mallory asked her what size shoes she wore and then literally offered her the shoes off her own feet to borrow for the trip. And she meant it! This gesture was special to witness, and something I won’t forget.
