Mallory understood the needs of her patient with dementia. She was kind, patient, and attentive. Mallory spent the day wheeling this patient around in a wheelchair, brought her out to the nurse’s station while we all charted, and printed out coloring pages for her. The patient was then calm, appreciative, and no longer combative. Not only was Mallory attentive to her patients, but she was also helpful to her team.

Mallory took a patient that was combative and almost falling out of bed and put her in the wheelchair. This helped the patient’s behavior and brought joy to her face. After Mallory brought her to the nurse’s station, the patient smiled and laughed with us all. Mallory took the time to listen to this patient’s needs and help her understand why she couldn’t go back to her memory care, yet. Mallory advocated for this patient and was so helpful in the process.
