She didn't just do her job. She lived with heart and humanity. I
Whenever my daughter was admitted to the hematology unit, our lives changed. It was one of the hardest times. There were so many days of us feeling worried, scared, anxious, or even having sleepless nights. But through it all, there was no one who stood out like Magda.
I will never forget the care, compassion and love she showed my baby and I. She always made sure my baby felt safe and comfortable. She took the time to explain to me everything and answered all of my questions with patience and kindness, even when I had probably already asked her more than once. Her patience and kindness made a huge impact on my baby's care and on me as a parent. T
There were times I was overwhelmed, and she always seemed to know what to say or do. Her presence brought peace and strength whenever I needed time for myself. She would always be there, even when I wouldn't ask for her help, she would offer to help out in whatever she could. One example of this is whenever I needed a shower, she would help out with my daughter, or she would even offer me to take a walk or even offer something small. She would also let me rest, and she would take care of my daughter as if it were her very own.
She celebrated the small victories with us a good lab result, a smile, a moment of laughter she was there with empathy and compassion, especially on our tough days. What made her so special was how genuine she was. She didn't just do her job. She lived with heart and humanity. She truly represents what Nursing is: compassion, skill, and love that go far beyond just the job.
Thank you so much. Maggie- May God bless you with many more.
