My 83-year-old Grammy was rushed to the hospital after a really bad fall. She had fallen 2 days before as well. When I got to the hospital, my Grammy looked unrecognizable. She could barely talk and looked extremely frail. We were told that she had pneumonia, a UTI, and a blood infection. It wasn't looking good. Madi has been my Grammy's daytime nurse since she arrived. She's been caring, attentive, and bringing my Grammy joy. Madi has been cracking jokes and making my Grammy laugh, even though she's in pain. In just a few short days, my Grammy has regained much of her strength and a little sparkle in her eyes. I do not doubt that Madi has contributed to this. Madi is a nurse who genuinely cares and will do anything to ensure the best possible care for her patients. Our family is beyond grateful for the compassion, patience, and positivity Madi has shown during such a frightening time. She has treated my Grammy with dignity and kindness, and she has brought comfort not only to her but to all those who love her. Madi is truly an extraordinary nurse, and she deserves to be recognized for the difference she makes every single day. We will never forget what she has done for our family.
