November 2025 Honoree
Madison Wright, RN
Madison exhibited nothing short of true professionalism with my mom and me. Due to my mom’s cognitive decline, I was nervous about how she might interact with your staff. I quietly shared that with Madison, and she kept me abreast during mom’s procedure.
After it was concluded, Madison explained how things went, possible causes for the bleeding, her previous experience with the same issue, etc. She assisted with scheduling, a follow-up appointment, and escorted us back to the exit door. Now, some of that may seem mundane to you, but I assure you, most do not do the same.
According to Webster, customer service is defined as: “Assistance and advice provided to people who buy or use a company’s products or services. Purpose: to help customers have an easy and enjoyable experience with a company’s brand."
A picture of Madison should be added; I can start the petition.
There is nothing enjoyable about a medical appointment, especially for an 82-year-old who does not want to be there. I know people like Madison are diamonds in the rough in our world, but if more people like her worked at the hospital, my visits to patient advocacy would be minimized. My siblings and I are our mother’s advocates, and just as we reach out when customer service is failing her, I believe we should keep that same energy when an employee is spot-on in providing care.
Please let Madison know that what she did touched my heart and was heartfelt by one of society’s most overlooked people – senior citizens. I appreciate Madison.
