Madison Thompson, RN
My daughter had to go to the emergency room at Hixson Hospital with severe stomach pain, nausea, and GI Issues. Later that evening, she was admitted to Unit 3. We were met by an absolutely wonderful nurse named Madie.
The reason I would like to nominate Madie for this DAISY Award is that she cared for my daughter as if she were her own. Madie’s positive attitude was fantastic and contagious.
Madie is a perfect example of what a nurse should be. She is very caring and concerned with her patient’s wellbeing. She never made us feel we were a burden, and you can just tell that she really truly loves her job and her patients. Madie gives her all from the beginning of her shift until she leaves at the end of her shift.
My daughter has been really sick for the past couple of months following the hospitalization and has received good care whenever she has been seen, but no one compares to Madie!
Madie is a shining star we will never forget, and we will always be grateful for the amazing care she provided for my daughter. I hope she will be recognized.
