Madison provided me with her healer's touch during a potentially traumatic birthing experience. She went above and beyond to ensure my safety and consistently communicated my status to the UPMC Medical team. My birthing experience was 20 hours with Madison by my side during the most difficult final 12 hours. During this time, I experienced frequent and increasing cycles of blood loss and discomfort. Madison was with me, constantly by my side, cleaning me, monitoring, and keeping me reassured. Her care calmed me, kept me focused, confident, and comfortable. She was a direct contribution to my successful delivery of a healthy baby girl. Thank you, UPMC, for having wonderful professionals like Madison. She is a perfect example of how one person can make a huge difference during a very difficult situation. She made a stressful, painful, and highly uncomfortable experience a positive experience with her healing touch.
