Madison Biting, RN

I would like to recognize Madison, our night nurse, for the exceptional care she provided to my son during one of the most frightening times we have experienced. Our son had just come off a massive seizure, and we were exhausted, overwhelmed, and scared.

From the moment Madison came on shift, she brought a sense of calm, kindness, and steady presence into the room. Despite the intensity of the situation, she was warm, engaging, and incredibly attentive not only to our son’s needs, but to ours as a family.

What stood out most was her vigilance and initiative. Anytime she had even the slightest concern, she acted immediately, bringing in respiratory therapy or the nurse practitioner to ensure our son was fully supported and that nothing was overlooked. She never hesitated, and that level of awareness and advocacy made us feel safe during a very uncertain time.

During one particularly scary moment of respiratory distress, Madison responded quickly and confidently. She worked seamlessly with the team to help our son recover, all while remaining calm and focused.

Madison’s compassion, quick thinking, and dedication to her patient truly set her apart. She didn’t just provide excellent clinical care; she provided emotional support, reassurance, and trust when we needed it most.

She embodies everything the DAISY Award represents, and we are so grateful she was there for our son and our family.
