What stood out to me most was that while the doctor tended to my son, Raven and Madison immediately wrapped me in a hug and let me know that everything was okay and that they had us.
My son experienced a mental health crisis, and nurses Raven Covington and Madison Cheek-Hille were with us from start to finish. They remained calm and professional during a stressful situation and demonstrated remarkable care for both my son and me. Our appointment was at the end of the day, but this situation continued into the evening hours. Raven and Madison stayed with us, and I never felt that we were rushed or an inconvenience, even though they were staying at work well past the end of their shifts.
What stood out to me most was that while the doctor tended to my son, Raven and Madison immediately wrapped me in a hug and let me know that everything was okay and that they had us. As the situation de-escalated, they stayed with my son and kept him calm while I worked with emergency personnel and arranged for transport to the emergency department.
I have seen Raven at an appointment for one of my other children since that night and she made a point to let me know that she has been thinking about him. While I know that night isn’t one that’s easy to forget, I appreciate that she remembers who we are and took the time to ask about how we’re doing. In a large practice, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle, but I feel the team at Symphony Park has made the effort to get to know us and shown us kindness and compassion.
I will be forever grateful for their care and support to our family.
