Madhumita received two DAISY nominations this month. We selected nomination #1, but wanted to share both nominations here.
Nomination #1:
I am honored to nominate Madhumita Dhar, a nurse who has been an essential part of our lives for the past 10 years. She has cared for my special needs children with unwavering compassion, empathy, and professionalism, qualities that are evident every single day she comes to work. Madhumita treats my children as if they were her own. In fact, I often joke that she’s their “stepmom” because of the deep care, love, and attention she gives them. Her presence brings me peace of mind-when she’s with my kids, I know they are in the best possible hands. Since she’s been involved in their care, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in hospital visits—something that speaks volumes about her skill and attentiveness.
What truly sets Madhumita apart is her integrity and the consistency with which she brings her whole heart to her work. She demonstrates the same empathy and dedication with every patient she cares for. While finishing nursing school, she also cared for her father in a nursing home. Even through that difficult time, and after his passing, she has continued to give her all to her patients, showing the kind of nurturing spirit that defines an exceptional nurse.
I cannot express how grateful I am for Madhumita. She has made a profound difference in my children's lives and in mine. I don’t know what I would do without her. Please consider her for The DAISY Award—she embodies everything it stands for. Thank you.

Madhumita is an exceptionally caring & kind person. She was the caretaker for our father for almost 5 years. She did not miss a day and always took great care of our debilitated late father. The child she cares for means the world to her. Her employer trusts her with all her heart when it comes to her kid. Madhumita was always meant to be in the healthcare field. She loves bringing love, warmth, devotion, and care into people’s lives. She truly deserves to be recognized for her dedication and hard work.
