Madelynn was our loved ones nurse who made a tremendous difference for our family during a very difficult time. From the moment we met her, she had a calming presence that immediately eased our nerves. Her demeanor was gentle, composed, and full of compassion. She was a little ray of sunshine. Something we didn’t even realize we needed until we experienced it. She took the time to truly listen, not just to our questions, but to our fears, our concerns, and even the things we didn’t know how to say.

Whenever we needed clarity, Madelynn was quick to provide answers. And when she didn’t have the information right away, she didn’t just guess or leave us wondering. She found out and followed up, which meant the world to all of us.

What stood out the most was how she served as a bridge between us and the rest of the care team. Her ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully allowed us to feel empowered and informed when making important decisions for our loved one. It felt like we had someone in our corner, advocating with us and for us. Even after what had clearly been a long and demanding shift, she stayed late to make sure that she called each of us personally, so that we knew our loved one had been moved to another floor. That simple phone call from her to each of us individually, meant more than she’ll ever know. It showed us that she genuinely cared, even after the workday was over.

We are forever grateful for her kindness, dedication, and professionalism. She truly embodies the spirit of nursing and deserves to be recognized.
