Nurse Madeline is deserving of the DAISY Award because she is like family. She took care of my father in September 2024 and now again in September 2025. She has been kind and cheerful. She was put in the middle of uncomfortable family drama and yet treated everyone, including my father, with dignity and compassion. Madeline answered all questions professionally and is fantastic at calming anxiety in very stressful situations. I wasn’t thrilled that Dad was sick enough to have to come back to the unit, but when I saw this nurse, I smiled because I knew that she was competent enough to handle the crisis, and more importantly, she loves her job and cares about her patients and people in general.
