My husband had to undergo a 3rd emergency brain surgery due to a surgical site infection. I was scared and in tears when they wheeled him away to the operating room. I wasn’t new to handling surgeries because our daughter had undergone 3 brain surgeries herself, but I had my husband by my side to lean on for support. This time he was the one going through surgery.

In all my years of having nurses I have never met such an amazing one as Madeleine. She truly is an angel. She recognized how scared I was and gave me a hug. I have never had a nurse do that and it was exactly what I needed. She not only was there for my husband, but she also took the time to care for me.

She went above and beyond to provide my husband with the best care and took the time to make sure everything he needed was in place. Madeleine has gift and truly cares for her patients and their loved ones. She deserves to be celebrated, and we will never forget her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.
