I had a biopsy. I have two daughters, and I am a single mom. My family is all out of town, folks. I don’t have a lot of people who can go with me to my procedures, so having Lynn with me on this procedure made me feel so cared for. She made me feel like I wasn’t alone. She talked to me the whole time, so I didn’t feel nervous. She never left my side like a guiding Angel. I know it’s not much, but sometimes doing things alone is hard. Especially trying to take my kids with me, even though they are young adults – that being said, some don’t understand. When you have a nurse who is there like she was, I felt like I had a village with me. I didn’t feel scared anymore. She explained everything in detail and also explained the discharge instructions. She gave me the phone number to call and when to expect my results. I wanted to say thank you to her by nominating her for this Award, to hopefully reach her and recognize her for her commitment to her patients.
