I am honored to nominate Lucinda Fultz for the DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary compassion, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to some of our most complex and vulnerable patients. Although I have not had the opportunity to meet Lucinda in person, I have worked closely with her through our shared care of patients at Florence House and the Ritter program. In every interaction, she consistently demonstrates a level of commitment and insight that truly sets her apart.

Lucinda works with individuals who often face profound medical and mental health challenges, many of whom struggle to articulate their own needs. What is most remarkable is her ability to recognize those needs, sometimes before they are even voiced, and to advocate fiercely on behalf of her patients. She ensures that they receive the care, resources, and dignity they deserve, even in the most complex circumstances. She is not only an exceptional patient advocate but also an incredible partner in care.

Lucinda is consistently thoughtful, responsive, and collaborative. She communicates clearly, follows through, and makes working together seamless. It is evident in every interaction that her decisions are grounded in what is best for her patients. The environments in which Lucinda works are incredibly challenging, and the work itself can often go unseen. However, the impact she makes is profound.

Her advocacy changes outcomes, builds trust, and creates stability for patients who often have very limited support systems. Her role may frequently go unrecognized, but it is absolutely essential—and deserving of acknowledgment.

Lucinda exemplifies the true spirit of the DAISY Award: clinical excellence delivered with compassion. I am deeply grateful for the work she does and the difference she makes every day.
