April 2026 Honoree
Lowrey Pantoja, RN
I am honored to commend Lowrey Pantoja. With 22 years of service at SSF KP, she has consistently demonstrated clinical excellence and compassionate care, making her an outstanding candidate for this recognition.
Lowrey is a vital member of our Intensive Care Unit, especially during the evening shift. She brings a positive and infectious attitude to work every day and embraces the challenges we face.
As her manager, I've had the privilege of witnessing many moments of Lowrey's remarkable clinical excellence. One instance truly highlights why she deserves this recognition. Lowrey goes above and beyond to provide compassionate, exceptional care, always prioritizing her patients' dignity, comfort, and cleanliness. Each shift, she takes the time to ensure that both her patients and their surroundings are well-organized and inviting. One of Lowrey's patients beautifully expressed this sentiment, saying, “If Lowrey is here, my room is always clean and organized.” The heartfelt feedback from patients, their families, and her colleagues serves as a powerful testament to her unwavering commitment and dedication to those she serves.
Her commitment to excellent care profoundly impacts both patients and their families, fostering trust and comfort that enhance overall patient outcomes. From the moment her shift begins, Lowrey is engaged and ready to deliver the best care possible.
One of Lowrey's exceptional qualities is her ability to multitask in critical care while addressing patients' emotional needs. She offers a compassionate ear, validating their feelings of anxiety, fear, or grief regarding their diagnoses. Lowrey connects deeply with patients and families, answering their questions to help them better understand their situations. She often sees her mother, who recently passed away, in every patient she cares for, and it brings her to tears as she recalls their bond.
As a true advocate for both patients and peers, Lowrey fosters a collaborative environment that not only improves patient outcomes but also makes her colleagues feel valued and supported. One doctor noted her attention to detail, particularly regarding her patients, stating, “Lowrey ensures that her patient is safe, as she will not stop advocating for them.”
Lowrey's pursuit of excellence was particularly evident during the last Joint Commission survey, where her meticulous documentation (including drug titration) significantly contributed to our team's accreditation success.
Her work embodies the compassion, excellence, and advocacy that this award celebrates, making her an ideal recipient. I cannot think of a more deserving candidate than Lowrey Pantoja.
