Louise is one incredible nurse! Right from the start of my chemotherapy journey, she has been a pillar of strength. Her kindness, compassion and love for her job and patients shines through at every visit.

As someone diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, I am anxious every time I come for treatment. Louise never fails to settle me down, even if she isn't allocated to me, she will always come over and make sure I am ok.

Louise is the absolute role model for the Trust values. Patients clearly feel cared for by Louise, as her rapport with patients and staff alike is incredible.

Louise always checks which symptoms and side effects you have had and helps guide you through discussions about your medications, as well as taking care to explain everything she is doing with your treatment. She is a dab hand with a needle, which, for someone who is needle-phobic, is amazing. My fear of needles is nothing short of fading when I know I have Louise on the other end of it!

Louise makes chemo a better experience than I could have ever expected. She is always lively, singing along to the radio, and always makes time to ask patients about family and friends. She has an incredible memory!

I was totally petrified of losing my hair, but Louise makes my scalp-cooling experience more bearable than I could ever have expected. Loosing my hair has been hard but she always compliments me in how good my real hair still looks and how well I am doing to keep going with it.

Louise is truly an asset to her profession, the Maple Unit at UHCW, and the wider NHS. Superheroes don't always wear capes; mine wears a tunic. I could not be more grateful to have met such a lovely nurse.
