My mother-in-law was originally on IPS when a CPR team was called. Loni, as well as the rest of the team, went above and beyond to try to save her. Once my mother-in-law was transferred to the ICU, she made it a point to come out to the waiting room and give us updates on her status. She also informed us of changes. At one point, she could see that my husband was struggling with our two young children, so she made glove balloons for them, which they loved. She was down in bed board when they called the code team to the ICU for the third time. She came running up to the ICU waiting room to make sure my husband and I were doing okay and to see if we needed anything. She showed us so much compassion during a difficult time, and my husband and I wanted to make sure she was recognized for the amazing, hardworking, empathetic nurse she is. I don't think she understands how much she helped us that day and how much we appreciated it.
