I am honored to recommend Nurse Logan for the DAISY Award in recognition of his exceptional compassion, integrity, respect, responsibility, and clinical competency. Recently, we had a long-term patient on our unit who experienced a sudden change in condition. Logan was immediately involved, recognizing the seriousness of the situation and advocating to escalate the patient's care to the ICU. His quick intervention, thorough assessment, and persistent advocacy ensured the patient received a higher level of care, which may have saved this patient's life. What is truly remarkable about Logan is that this instance is not an exception but a reflection of the clinician he consistently is. Logan exceeds expectations daily, always treating patients and their families with compassion and respect, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and safe during their most vulnerable moments. His commitment to excellence and responsibility to his patients and team is evident in every interaction, and his clinical skills are matched by his calm presence, which brings comfort to patients and colleagues alike. Logan exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. His dedication and advocacy are reminders of the profound impact a nurse can have on the lives of patients and their families.
