Dr. Lisa Haynie is one of my teachers in the MSN program, and she was also my preceptor during one of my clinical rotations in Rolling Fork, MS. Not only is she a great teacher who goes out of her way to make sure you’re learning, but she also always makes herself readily available to answer any questions that one may have while studying.

More importantly, she is so kind and compassionate. She would probably describe these actions as her just doing her job, but seeing her care for a severely underserved community while also teaching students is something special if you’re fortunate enough to witness it. She goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her students and her clinical patients.

She has truly inspired me personally and professionally to put my all into my work and to be confident in myself. It is very apparent that Dr. Haynie loves what she does, and she deserves recognition for her impact on and dedication to the nursing program and its students.
