I truly believe that when UCLA Health gets ranked at the top of rankings it's due to leadership like hers that allows all of us to excel and be the best version of ourselves.
Linsey is a shining beacon of leadership and CICARE. She always places her patients and staff at the top of the priority list. She has overseen a massive increase in satisfaction in her units - which is evidenced by the Unit Practice Council project focused on staff satisfaction. When presented with this project by UPC she was more than willing to support it in any way she could. She has an open-door policy. She truly listens and makes a conscious effort to address the root cause of issues brought to her attention. She also encourages staff to seek career advancement, encourages those who want to return to school, and gives serious consideration to her internal staff for promotions. As part of her support team, I've seen the behind-the-scenes projects she takes on to support her staff. It always amazes me how she will advocate for her units to executive leadership no matter how big the obstacles may seem. Patient safety is always high on her priority list. She is always advocating for staff to get their certifications so patients can be assured their nurses are among the most highly trained and specialized staff. She has assembled a team of nursing and partners-in-care staff at all levels to ensure patients’ needs are met at all times. I truly believe that when UCLA Health gets ranked at the top of rankings it's due to leadership like hers that allows all of us to excel and be the best version of ourselves. This includes the unwavering belief she instills that we can be better today than we were yesterday. She cares for her staff as if they were her own children. I am thankful for the opportunity she has given me to grow. I have seen her grow from Administrative Nurse 2 to her current director position, which she deserves and more. She is truly an asset to this organization and any unit or staff that has been under her leadership can attest to this.
