My dad is a patient on the cardiac floor. He was brought in through the ED on Friday night. He had the pleasure of being cared for by Lin who was so wonderful. She brought humor, compassion, and knowledge to my dad's care every day. She saw to every need every time she entered the room. My dad is experiencing great difficulty breathing and she talked to him, asking if anything brings him comfort, and discussed what they could try. She was never in a hurry and her personal touch made me feel she was treating my dad the way she would treat her own father. This type of care if not taught in school, it is a natural quality that just comes through in everything she does. She offered humor to situations to lighten tense times and knowledge, kindness, and confident care to see him through stressful moments.
