She is upbeat and funny in an environment where I can only imagine it isn’t always the easiest to be so.
I was admitted to Ava’s House Hospice care in Sioux Falls. I am in my 60s and have spent the past three months in Sanford Hospital, and have met hundreds of wonderful nurses, doctors, techs, and medical personnel who spend their days and nights selflessly providing care and comfort to people like myself who are experiencing the worst days of our lives. I have had the fortunate experience of personally connecting with so many of these individuals, and it has been of great comfort to me during my time at Sanford.

There has been one RN who has stood out above all the rest due to her positivity, gentleness, and caring demeanor. This special person is Lindsay Chapman. Not only has she treated me with extraordinary care and compassion, but she also treats my friends and family with the same respect. I have a lot of friends and family, and I have been blessed with them. They all love her! She has made herself a family member with her genuine concern for all of us! She is upbeat and funny in an environment where I can only imagine it isn’t always the easiest to be so. What an honorable and valuable asset and representative of Sanford and Ava’s House, specifically.

When given the accolades she so deserves, her response is never that it’s her job to be that way. Her response is one of gratitude for her position, which allows her to help people, and she loves doing what she does.
