Without hesitation, she went to grab her lunch and bring it to the family.
In July of 2024, around 5 a.m., Linda went above and beyond her duties as a nurse for a patient's family in the emergency department by selflessly giving up her packed lunch to an impoverished family due to limited choices at night. Another staff member went to the impatient floor to find food for the family when Linda overheard the situation.
Without hesitation, she went to grab her lunch and bring it to the family. The family was in a car accident and from out of state, and was very distraught about the situation. She is always being a patient advocate, even when she is not assigned to that patient or is busy with nursing duties. She has always taken extra steps for patients and their families to feel welcome and cared for. Linda displayed progress, integrity, and excellence on this morning and continues to do so every shift she works.
