Her motherly approach was what I needed.
I knew immediately when Linda walked into our room with an intern nurse that she was someone special. Her clear and immediate attention to detail in my post-partum c-section case was phenomenal. She guided the intern through this process in a way in which I could tell the intern was trying her best practices and following in Linda’s footsteps.

My c-section was the first major surgery I’ve ever had, and at the point they entered my room, I was feeling hopeless with not being able to move on my own and the amount of pain I had been in. Linda coached me and my husband through and encouraged me to get up. Her motherly approach was what I needed. Later on, after she knew I was making progress, she even knew how to push me in a way that appropriately guided me to be independent and allowed me to do hard things.

Linda truly set the bar high after spending three nights in the hospital and interacting with numerous nurses. The way she portrays herself as a nurse is something every nurse at Providence could learn from. When I think of “nurse” from now on, I will remember Linda.
