After working a 12 hr night shift and with a young baby at home Lena left work and went to the drug store to buy hearing aid batteries for one of her patients. He had been very bothered that he couldn't hear us.
Lena consistently shows courtesy and compassion to all her patients. She is always pleasant and very thoughtful. She left the batteries at the desk, not even needing recognition from the patient or staff. She simply did it to be nice. Her random acts of kindness are exactly what the DAISY award represents.
Lena is always pleasant to work with and always sweet to the patients. She goes above and beyond her duties. She is kind and generous and always helpful to her coworkers.
